Expose & Educate:
Through partnerships with EdFarm and the Auburn University Lowder Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship, attendees were EXPOSED & EDUCATED on leveraging technology to realize their entrepreneurial dreams. From artificial intelligence (AI) to app development, participants learned how to harness these tools to create innovative business ideas and apps. The highlight was the mini-pitch competition, where participants competed for prizes including iPads, Beats headphones, and more.
Engage & Empower:
The Innovation Power Hours are designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering internship opportunities, training, resources and industry-level certifications. We visited 7 HBCU campuses, ENGAGING over 700 HBCU community members in tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship skills. The Alabama Collective EMPOWERED participants with opportunities to learn new skills, network with The Innovation Power Hours are designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering internship opportunities, training, resources and industry-level certifications. We visited 7 HBCU campuses, ENGAGING over 700 HBCU community members in tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship skills. The Alabama Collective EMPOWERED participants with opportunities to learn new skills, network with professionals, explore career opportunities, and pitch for a chance to win $10,000.
Shaping Tomorrow Together
During our Innovation Power Hour Spring 2024 tour, we had the privilege of visiting seven distinguished HBCU campuses. Engaging with the vibrant communities at these institutions, we connected with insightful students and dedicated faculty members, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for INNOVATION and LEARNING. Our visits included:
