The weekend kicked off with the GovTech Networking Social, co-hosted by The Alabama Collective and The Fearless Institute. This event united over 70 GovTech professionals, HBCU alumni, and community leaders committed to advancing diversity in technology and government. Key remarks from the Fearless team inspired attendees, emphasizing the importance of inclusive spaces in tech with a message that “real progress comes when every voice is heard, every perspective valued, and every barrier broken.” Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations about expanding opportunities for Black professionals in GovTech, and the evening provided ample networking that connected attendees with potential partners and collaborators.
