The Alabama Collective, in partnership with RCX Sports Foundation, Microsoft, and the CXMMUNITY Foundation, hosted an exciting HBCU Esports Tournament, drawing competitive HBCU students eager to showcase their gaming skills. The RCX Sports Foundation provided the platform and structure for the event, with Microsoft and CXMMUNITY Foundation adding support to enhance the tournament experience. Talladega College simulcasted the tournament, expanding reach and excitement, allowing fans to support their teams from afar. The tournament offered a vibrant environment for students, alumni, and industry professionals to connect, highlighting The Alabama Collective’s commitment to an inclusive tech culture within Alabama HBCUs.
The Esports Tournament saw Alabama A&M University students dominate the competition, with the following winners:
- First Place: Jaeveon Jordan – $1,250
- Second Place: Jamaari Ramirez – $750
- Third Place: Amere Cherry – $350
- Fourth Place: Greg Whaley – $150
